Mains and system protection NA003-M64
The reliable NA003-M64 mains and system protection (NA protection) from TELE Haase combines all standards in one device and can therefore be used universally. When operating alternative power generation, NA protection is required by law and disconnects the power generation system (photovoltaic, generator, battery buffer) from the grid in the event of a grid failure. This ensures the safety of the distribution grid, systems and people.
In the event of a defined grid fault, the grid and system protection (NA protection) disconnects the power generation systems (photovoltaic, generator, battery buffer) from the grid. Its function is very important for the reliable protection of the electricity grid and the energy generation systems because it ensures that the connection of an energy generation system does not impair the function or safety of the distribution grid.
Function:
- Protective relay that measures the mains voltage and frequency, contains the actual protective functions and generates the signal for disconnection from the mains
- 1-2 tie switches that ensure the actual disconnection from the grid
To ensure high availability of the supply grid, short-term grid faults must not disconnect the generator from the grid. This "Fault Ride Through" (FRT) refers in particular to short-term undervoltages and overvoltages. Depending on the type and output of the energy generator, different requirements also apply here, which can be adapted via parameterisation in NA003-M64.
